BRAVE BILLY'S HEROES:   In November of 2012, Billy Biviano of Millstone (Hillsborough), NJ was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor at the age of 14-months.   Billy is currently undergoing chemotherapy.  Funds  raised by his team will help offset the medical costs incurred by his family.  To read more about his journey, click here


LESLIE'S DANCING STARS:  In April of 2011, Leslie Ramirez of Bound Brook was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer at the age of 10.  In August of 2012, Leslie's mom who carried the family's medical benefits was laid off from her job.  Funds raised by her team will help to offset the family's medical costs which include travel to Pittsburgh frequently to participate in a clinical trial.  To read more about Leslie's journey, click here

TREVOR'S TROOPERS: In August of 2012, Hillsborough 8th grader, Trevor Tomczak was diagnosed with bone cancer after a lump was found during a routine physical to attend Boy Scouts camp.  Trevor has just completed intense treatment which resulted in him spending more than 90 nights in the hospital over the past year.  Funds raised by his team will help reduce the financial impact that this diagnosis has had on his family and celebrate his remission.   Meet Trevor, click here

TEAM XTREME:  Xavier Ross of Newtown was born on May 28, 2011 with a portion of his heart under-developed and unusable. In his short life, Xavier has undergone three open heart surgeries - the most recent in June which is he currently still recovering from at CHoP.  Funds raised by Team Xtreme will help pay for all the medical needs of the Ross family as they miss work and care for their son.   To read Xavier's incredible story of survival and will, click here.

LAURIE'S LEGACY:   In 2009, 12 year old Stephen Wurst of Hillsborough lost his mother to breast cancer. Together with his Nana, Donna Parlin, Stephen has raised funds to help those receiving treatment at the Steeplechase Cancer Center.  Click here to learn more about their family's dedication.

TEAM EMMANUEL:  Founded in memory of seven-year old Emmanuel Vizzoni who lost his battle with cancer, ECF provides in-home emotional support, material assistance, and emergency financial aid to any New Jersey family facing the challenges of caring for a child with cancer.  To learn more about his amazing organization, click here.  



 STRIDES FOR HOPE:    The Cancer Support Community of Central New Jersey, located in Bedminster, was founded in 2001 by four women who saw a gap in the psychosocial services for those impacted by cancer in the community.    The mission is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community.  Support, education and hope are provided for FREE to people with cancer and their loved ones.  To learn more, click here.  



 TEAM BOROSAFE:  Currently, suicide is the third leading cause of death of adolescents between the ages of 15-24.   Hillsborough has experienced at least 12 confirmed suicides over the last 15 years.  These figures are statistically significant in the community of our size.  BoroSAFE's (Suicide Awareness For Everyone) goal is to raise community awareness that suicide is preventable and resources are available.   To read more about the mission of BoroSAFE, click here.
