The doubles tournament will take place on the front lawn of Pheasants Landing & Pub in Hillsborough, rain or shine. Registration and practice opens at 12:30 PM, bags throw at 1 PM. The entry fee for this doubles tournament is $75 per team and is limited to 60 teams.

--> Calling all playing for the cause, not the cash! Prizes for the top 3 teams will be gift cards to local restaurants (hopefully donated). <--

Draft specials and light snacks will be open to participants from 1 to 3 PM, an appetizer buffet and cash bar will follow. All teams are guaranteed 3 games of play. 

Any person or business interested in sponsoring a set of boards can do so for a $150 donation to Steps Together, please use the donate button below. 

Steps Together is a Hillsborough based volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring the community to pay their blessings forwards and support families facing medical crisis in Somerset County. Who will benefit from this event? 

Steps Together is currently assisting many families in our community who have been impacted by an unexpected medical crisis.  Click here to read their stories.  

I want to come but can't be there at 1 PM. Is there anyway I can still participate?

There is a field on the registration form titled "Additional Information."  This is where you can specify anything that would be helpful for us to know when planning the bracket. We can't make any promises but will do our best to accommodate all participants and their varying arrival times. 

Is there a rain date for the event? 

No, we will rent a tent incase of rain. 

Is my registration refundable? 

Your registration is non-refundable.  If you are unable to attend, we thank you for your donation. 

Can I come as a spectator? 

Absolutely!  We hope you will support the event by participating in our 50/50 and Board Raffles.  Draft specials and event food will be limited to tournament participants but the restaurant will be open to all spectators.  Don't forget your lawn chair!

Do you need volunteers?

What kind of food will be offered?

Food will only be offered to registered participants. From 1 to 3 PM, the restaurant is not open so we will be serving light snacks such as hot pretzels and chips.  At 3 PM an appetizer buffet will open.  The restaurant will be open for anyone wishing for a heartier meal. 

Will there be day of registration?

The tournament is limited to 60 teams. If the tournament is not sold out, we will open day of registration for a limited number of teams @ $100 per team.

Is there any essential cornhole terms?  (LOL)

  • Woody, Boarder: A bag that ends up on the board.
  • Cornhole, Holer, Corn in the Hole: A bag that ends up in the hole.
  • Dos Cornhole’ : Throwing two bags in the hole.
  • Holy Moly Triple Cornholy: Throwing 3 bags in the hole.
  • The Great Cornholio: A person that throws 4 bags in the hole. All present are required to bow down in reverence to this cornholer.
  • Get that corn outta my face!: A term used whenever you successfully counteract your opponent’s attempt to score. For example, when you put a bag in the hole immediately after your opponent does or when you successfully knock your opponent’s bag off the board.
  • Corn On The Cob: When a player puts every bag on the board.
  • Nothin’ But Corn: When a bag is tossed right through the hole without touching the board.
