The mission of Cancer Support Community Central New Jersey is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community.  CSCCNJ is a local licensed affiliate of Cancer Support Community, an international non-profit organization that provides FREE support, education and hope to people with cancer and their loved ones. Backed by evidence that the best cancer care includes social and emotional support, CSCCNJ creates a supportive community to help individuals live with, through and beyond cancer.

CSCCNJ was founded in 2001 by four women - Lynn Arnold, Ann Brown, Nancy Dowd and Eunice Jadlocki - who saw a gap in psychosocial services for those impacted by cancer in the community.  They rallied support to found The Wellness Community of Central New Jersey, now known as Cancer Support Community Central New Jersey, which opened its doors in November 2004.

CSCCNJ delivers a comprehensive menu of personalized and essential services - so that no one faces cancer alone.  Participants can attend any of the FREE offerings, including Yoga and Stress Management classes, nutrition and Healthy Cooking classes, Ask the Doctor series and professionally-led support groups, including Family & Friends, Men's Cancer and Bereavement.

Located in Bedminster in a renovated farm house, CSCCNJ proudly serves six counties: Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset and Union, helping all individuals affected by cancer - the patient, friends, family and caregivers.  Since opening their doors in 2004, CSCCNJ has served over 7,500 individuals in the community.  CSCCNJ also partners with hospitals and cancer centers around Central New Jersey to deliver their free program of support in other locations.

CSCCNJ is funded only by generous donations from the community, NOT by insurance or the government.
