Kristen’s Story

On November 10th, our sister Kristen was diagnosed with synovial cell sarcoma, a very rare type of soft tissue cancer. Treatment will include an aggressive plan of chemotherapy and surgery. Needless to say, her fight against the disease will be emotional and physically taxing on her and her family.

As family, a friend, or a member of one of her many communities, we all know Kristen's light shines bright. You can feel it. She is an amazing mother to Jordan (24), Ozzie (10) and Ellie (5). Kristen is a committed partner, a caring friend, and a beloved daughter/sister/cousin/aunt.

She has been a long-time Hillsborough Township resident and devoted teacher in the Montgomery Township school district for almost two decades. Kristen loves her students and the incredible staff she works with. She has a magnetic personality and an infectious sense of humor that makes everyone smile. At the same time, she is tough. Her resilience is admirable. She never backs down from a fight.

After a lifetime of putting others first, it's time to put her first. Cancer is scary. Kristen needs to focus on the road ahead. We hope you will help relieve the financial stress brought on by her diagnosis.
